As a further example of Reeds commitment to a sustainable environment, and to help lessen our, and our customers, impact on it, Reeds successfully underwent an independent, external audit in May 2010 and were granted PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) Chain of Custody certification.
Demand for sustainably produced goods is growing in the UK and consumers are becoming better informed and more concerned about the environmental provenance of the goods they buy.
PEFC Chain of Custody certification allows Reeds to print on PEFC stock and place an 'on-product', claim on the job to demonstrate your own social and environmental awareness.
One of the easiest ways of demonstrating that virgin fibre comes from responsibly managed forests is to source it from forests that have been independently certified against a credible forest management certification scheme. The stock that any PEFC job that Reeds print can be tracked throughout the supply chain using 'chain of custody' certification all the way back to the forest it originated.
Our 'chain of custody' is audited by an independent PEFC accredited certification body each year.
