Dene Marshall, co-Managing Director of Reeds Printers made a flying visit to the Lanes
Shopping Centre in Carlisle in November - BBC Children in Need day - to meet the cute
and cuddly, Pudsey bear! Along with BBC Radio Cumbria presenters, Pudsey was in the
shopping Centre to promote the BBC Radio Cumbria 2009 calendar, which has been
printed courtesy of Reeds.
BBC Radio Cumbria took special delivery of the 2,000 copies of the calendar at the
beginning of November. Given the charitable aspect of the BBC Children in Need
campaign Reeds designed and printed the calendar for free.
Dene commented “As a local company the request to print and design the charity calendar
really grabbed our attention as it gave us the opportunity to produce a quality product as
well as helping to raise money for BBC Children in Need. We are only one of a handful
of printers nationally who
are ISO accredited for environmental management and the
calendar has
been printed on paper from a managable source, supplied free of charge by Antalis Papers, giving people the peace
of mind that in buying the calendar, they are also supporting the environment too!”

Nigel Dyson, Managing Editor of Radio Cumbria praised Reeds for being "keen to help and to make such a big donation especially in challenging financial times." Nigel also went on to say "the outcome is is magnificent - a wonderful calendar that looks fantastic".
To buy a copy of the calendar send a cheque for £6.56 (including p&p) made payable
to “BBC Radio Cumbria” to: BBC Children in Need calendar, BBC Radio Cumbria,
Carlisle, CA3 8BB. £4 from the sale of each calendar will go directly to BBC Children
in Need.
